Day 141 – “I’ve Messed Things Up Too Badly.”

Today we’re fasting from the thought that says, "I’ve messed things up too badly; my mistakes are too great."

This thinking goes beyond feeling guilty. It reminds us of our failures—robbing us of creativity, initiative, and the power to live in God’s fullness.

LET’S CHANGE IT TODAY

1. Believe with every fiber of your heart and mind in the MERCY of God (Hebrews 4:15-16). A woman asked Napoleon to have mercy on her son, who was about to be hanged. "Do you realize the crimes he’s committed against France, madam? He doesn’t deserve mercy," Napoleon answered. She responded, "If he deserved it, it wouldn’t be mercy, Emperor." At that moment, her son was set free.

2. Don’t underestimate the power of confession (1 John 1:9). Confessing our sins before God is both liberating and therapeutic. He is faithful to forgive, to cleanse, and to heal. (James 5:16)

3. Do not allow your mistakes to DEFINE you. No matter how badly you’ve messed up, get up and live another day. You may have fallen, but you can and will get up! (Proverbs 24:16)

4. See the silver lining. You HAVE become smarter. You ARE better. Your maturity and experience are going to show up for more important things ahead. Trust the work of God in you. Philippians 2:13 says, "God is at work in you, to will and work for His good pleasure."

5. Think like a winner. Romans 8:37 says that you are more than a conqueror. No matter how far you’ve fallen, failed, or messed up, YOU ARE MORE THAN A CONQUEROR. You have the DNA of a champion.

6. Accept that God has not stopped loving you or believing in you. Nothing can separate you from His Love (Romans 8:38–39)—nothing past, present or TO COME! You are not condemned.

THINK IT AND SAY IT

There is now NO condemnation to me, because I am in Christ Jesus. I accept God’s mercy, in spite of all my mistakes. I will not allow my sins or failures to define me. I am the righteousness of God; therefore, no matter how far or how many times I’ve fallen, I can and will get up. He is at work in me still, and nothing shall separate me from His love. I am more than a conqueror, in Jesus’ Name!

Day 140 – “I Should Stop Giving, Because I’m Not Receiving.”

Today we’re fasting from the thought that says, "I should stop giving, because I’m not receiving."

Whether you’re giving love, or money, or blessing someone else, it’s tempting to give up because we’re not seeing results.

LET’S CHANGE IT TODAY

1. Shift your thinking to the REASON for giving. God so loved the world that He gave. (John 3:16) Give because you love God and love helping people.

2. Expect the right thing. Expect to receive greater HAPPINESS when you give. In Acts 20:35, Jesus said that you’re more blessed—happy, fortunate, to be envied—when you give.

3. Flood your mind with Luke 6:38. Give, and IT WILL BE GIVEN TO YOU—good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over! These are not a mere man’s words, but Jesus’ words. IT WILL BE GIVEN!

4. You were born to give. It’s IN you. You are made in God’s image. (Genesis 1:26).Therefore, it’s YOUR HIGHEST DESIRE TO GIVE. You are most satisfied when you give, because you are imitating God. (Ephesians 5:1)

5. Giving was born to receive. Giving has within itself the DNA to come back to you. (2 Corinthians 9:6–7) Stop trying to receive, and simply give. It WILL come back to you.

6. Give up on giving up. You will reap if you do not faint. (Galatians 6:9)

7. Give up your timetable. There is no set time for when you will receive, but your harvest WILL come. (Genesis 8:22)

THINK IT AND SAY IT

I give because I love God and love seeing people blessed. I am happier when I give. I was born to give. And giving was born to receive. My giving is coming back to me in good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over. I GIVE UP giving up on my harvest, in Jesus’ Name!

Day 139 – “I’m Afraid.” (Part II)

Today, we continue destroying thoughts of fear.

1 John 4:18 says, “. . . fear has torment.”Perhaps you have felt tormented by the fear of dying, the fear of cancer, the fear of running out of money, or the fear of what someone could do to hurt you. Today, we put an end to the torment and punishment of fear!

LET’S CHANGE IT TODAY

1. Reject and resist whatever isn’t from God. 2 Timothy 1:7 says, “God has not given you the spirit of fear—but power, love and a sound mind.” Fear is from the devil. Don’t tolerate it for a second.

2. Speak to fear. Mark 11:23 says, “. . . say to this mountain (of fear), ‘Be removed and cast into the sea,’ and do not doubt, but believe those things you say, shall happen.” Speak to those thoughts of fear and command them to go.

3. Understand how fear comes. Romans 10:17 says, “FAITH COMES FROM HEARING THE WORD OF GOD.” Therefore, FEAR COMES from hearing things contrary to the Word of God—such as the news about tragedy, the economy, and so on. Spend more time listening to the good news of the Word, rather than the bad news of this world.

4. Expect to walk on water! Set your hope and expectation on GREAT things happening in your life. Peter walked on water with Jesus, showing us that faith can overcome anything. However, remember why Peter began to sink. Matthew 14:30 says that Peter SAW the wind, he BECAME afraid, and then he BEGAN to sink. What we focus on produces fear . . . or faith!

5. Trust HE will catch you when you fall. Even when Peter began to sink, Jesus reached out and grabbed His hand to save him. (Matthew 14:31) You always have a safety net, in Him! So, fear not!

THINK IT AND SAY IT

God has not given me the spirit of fear, but power, love and a sound mind. I reject all forms of fear, beginning today. I speak to fear and command it to leave my life and family.

I surrender my ears to listen to God’s Word, and my eyes to focus on God’s promises. I expect the miraculous to happen in my life, and I know God will catch me if I stumble or fall. Therefore, I will not be afraid another day in my life, in Jesus’ Name!

Day 138 – “I Just Can’t Seem To Catch A Break.”

Today we’re fasting from the thought that says, "I just can’t seem to catch a break."

Ever felt like things just weren’t going your way?

LET’S CHANGE IT TODAY

1. You can’t control good ‘breaks’. But you can control the seeds you sow; and THAT’s what will determine your harvest. (Galatians 6:7-9). YOU HAVE POWER TO SHAPE YOUR FUTURE.

2. Change your focus from what’s against you, to WHO’s for you. IF GOD BE FOR US, who can be against us? (Romans 8:31)

3. Don’t think "break." Think: BREAKTHROUGH. The walls holding back your abundance and victory HAS to come down. (Joshua 6:20). Believe it. Speak it. Expect it!

4. Expect FAVOR. Think: Favor. Favor is not what you DESERVE. It’s your right for being right with God, not doing everything right. (Psalm 5:12)

5. It’s God’s love that brings breakthroughs and turnarounds. (Deuteronomy 23:5) He turned the curse into a blessing because HE LOVES US. Good breaks and good breakthroughs are on their way!

THINK IT AND SAY IT

My breakthrough is coming. The seeds I sow are going to break through the ground and produce a mighty harvest. God is for me and surrounds me with favor as a shield. My turnaround and breakthroughs are coming because God loves me, in Jesus’ Name!

Day 137 – “I Need More Money.”

We often think that more money will solve our problems. But the truth is this: We need a lot of things that money can’t buy!

Today, we’re fasting from the thought that says, “I need more money!”

LET’S CHANGE IT TODAY

1. God is your source. We often think that God will be our source of money; but He is our source, PERIOD. (2 Corinthians 9:8) He is your sufficiency. He will provide WHATEVER it is you need. (Philippians 4:19)

2. We don’t need more money; we need more of God in our lives! As you stay full of God (His Word, the assurance of His love), you will have what you need. We don’t leak, so He’ll never leave us, but we do sometimes forget. (Romans 1:21) As you stay thankful, you stay FULL of God.

3. Abide in Him today. (John 15:7) See yourself in union with Jesus. Meditate on being "in Him." This is the source of TRUE prosperity.

4. Let His words abide in you today. (John 15:7) As His words become the fiber of your being and become one with you, you can ASK anything in His Name, and it will be given to you. THIS IS WHAT WE REALLY NEED. THIS IS TRUE POWER.

5. Don’t limit God. In Psalm 78:41, we see how the Israelites had limited God. This means that they had set the boundaries. They had defined what God could do and how He could provide. This was their downfall.

6. God has countless ways to provide for you. It might be money ,or a business, or an idea, or wisdom, or a better budget. He can give water from a rock, bread from heaven, food for a multitude from five loaves; and coins out of a fish’s mouth. Expect Him to provide HIS way.

THINK IT AND SAY IT

God is my source. I refuse to limit how God can provide or what He can provide me with. I abide IN HIM, and His Word abides in me. Therefore, I can ask for whatever I wish, and it will be done. I stay thankful and full of God. Money is not my source. My job is not my source. God is my source, and I expect His ideas, wisdom, provision, and supply, in Jesus’ Name!

Day 136 – “Why Don’t I Have More?”

So many people have asked me how to deepen their walk with God.

I believe one of the keys is fasting from the thought that says, "Why don’t I have more?" (Whether it’s more time, more money, more success, more friends, and so on.)

LET’S CHANGE IT TODAY

1. Choose His face, rather than His hand. (You’ll end up with both.) Spend time with God. Start with a verse. Psalm 27:8 says, "My heart has heard you say, ‘Come and talk with me.’ And my heart responds, ‘Lord, I am coming.’"

2. Think positively about adversity, rather than striving to avoid it. Let me be clear. I am not saying that adversity comes from God, BUT IT DOES COME. Psalm 34:19 says, "Many are the afflictions of the righteous, BUT the Lord delivers him out of them all." Expect Him to deliver you, and expect to become better as a result.

3. See your life is a gift from God and for others. Your life experiences have uniquely qualified you to make a difference in this world. You have a motivational gift—perhaps to show mercy, or to lead others by serving them, or the gift of making money to give. (Romans 12:6–8)

4. Don’t ever want what other people have. This doesn’t mean to settle for less than all that God has for you; just don’t compare. It robs you of wisdom and understanding. (2 Corinthians 10:12)

5. YOUR TABLE IS RESERVED! God has reserved a portion and a place at the table for you. God told Saul not to worry about where he stood compared to others. "There is a place at the table and a portion that has been set aside for you." (1 Samuel 9:23, 24)

THINK IT AND SAY IT

I choose the face of God. I look positively at adversity, rather than fighting to avoid it. I expect God to deliver me from all afflictions and trials. I won’t settle for less than what God has for me.

I know that God has a portion reserved for me. He has a place for me at His table. I think securely; therefore, I live securely. In Jesus’ Name!

Day 135 – “I Doubt That Could Happen.” Part 2

Today, we are continuing to fast from thoughts that say, "I doubt that could happen."

When Jesus asked Peter, “Why did you doubt?” He was revealing to us that it’s unnatural to doubt, and we were born to believe!

LET’S CHANGE IT TODAY

1. See doubt and unbelief for what it is. It is deception. The devil is attempting to deceive us into THINKING three things: a) that God’s Word won’t work; b) that God isn’t good; and c) that we don’t have authority over the devil.

2. True knowledge drives out doubt. True knowledge is not what you learn in college. True knowledge is what God said, and what He told us HE WOULD DO. Awaken to the knowledge of God’s promises, and doubt will die.

3. Discover the power of prophecy: There are over 1000 prophecies in the Bible—promises that God made before they happened. The chances of merely 17 of these coming to pass is 1 out of 450 billion x 1 billion x 1 trillion! YET, over 600 have already come to pass! The remaining prophecies have to do with the Second Coming of Jesus. They, too, will happen!

4. Eliminate Passivity. Proverbs 4:23 says, “Watch over your heart with ALL DILIGENCE . . . ” Refuse to accept the lie that says, “We all doubt.” Doubts do come, but we must drive them out.

5. Go back to the garden. (Genesis 2:15) Adam’s life was destroyed, because he didn’t drive out doubt from the garden of Eden. When we question God’s Word, we open the door to doubt, unbelief, and the devil. SHUT THE DOOR. How? Fill your mind and heart with the promises of God.

6. Give up gambling! What do I mean? Believing anything OTHER than God’s Word is a gamble. Only His promises are a sure thing. 2 Corinthians 1:20—all the promises of God are YES. 1 Kings 8:56 says, “Not one word has failed of ALL His good promise.”

THINK IT AND SAY IT

I declare that God’s Word works, that God IS good, and that I have authority over the devil. I drive the devil out from the garden of my heart by driving out doubt. I believe God cannot lie and that every promise He makes comes to pass. I refuse to accept doubt another day in my life, in Jesus’ Name!
