Day 153 – “I Can’t Expect to Be Blessed All the Time.”

Today we’re fasting from the thought that says, "I can’t expect to be blessed all the time."

We have bought the lie that things can’t be good all the time. Yet God says that goodness and mercy will follow us ALL the days of our lives. We have to eliminate expectations of failure and mediocrity.

LET’S CHANGE IT TODAY

1. God HAS already blessed you in heavenly places. (Ephesians 1:3) So EXPECT those blessings to show up "ON EARTH, as it is in heaven." Our words connect heaven’s blessings to earth. As you speak God’s promises, you activate His blessings.

2. Jesus took ALL the curse, so you could have ALL the blessing! (Galatians 3:13) We must realize WHY we can be blessed all the time: because Jesus paid the price in His blood, for the blessing of God to be ours.

3. Because you are IN CHRIST, you are BLESSED COMING IN AND BLESSED GOING OUT. (Deuteronomy 28:6) You are blessed in the city and blessed in the field. This speaks of continual blessing wherever you are and wherever you go.

4. Don’t try to follow the blessings. The blessings are designed to follow YOU and overtake you in Christ! (Deuteronomy 28:2, Galatians 3:13)

5. Forever forgiven = forever blessed.
(Romans 4:7–8) God’s kingdom is set up so that blessing follows the man or woman who knows they are forgiven. Knowing you are forgiven through the blood of Jesus paves the way for you to receive your divine inheritance. (Acts 26:17)

6. You are magnetic! You attract whatever you believe about yourself. Believe that God has BLESSED you. (Genesis 12:1–3) Blessings are attracted to an attitude of EXPECTATION. SET YOUR EXPECTATION ON BEING BLESSED!

THINK IT AND SAY IT

God has already blessed me. I cannot be cursed. In Christ, I have ALL the blessings of the Old and New Testaments. I don’t have to chase down the blessings; goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life. The blessings of God will follow me, chase me down, and overtake me. I am forever forgiven; therefore, I am forever blessed. I expect blessings all the time, in Jesus’ Name!

Day 152 – “Will God Do It?”

Today we’re fasting from the thought that says, "Will God do it?"

So often, we question whether God will answer our prayer, whether He will heal, or whether He will deliver or rescue us. We need to put an end to this thinking that blocks our faith and blocks God’s power.

LET’S CHANGE IT TODAY

1. Always start thinking about anything with A PROMISE FROM GOD’S WORD. (Psalm 37:5) "Commit your way to the Lord; trust also in Him, and He will bring it to pass." Be promise-minded. He is watching over His promises to bring them to pass. (Jeremiah 1:12)

2. Know He has called you. You may not be called to be a minister, but you are called to receive God’s promises and purpose for your life. 1 Thessalonians 5:24 says, the one who CALLED you is FAITHFUL, and HE WILL DO IT!

3. Turn your concerns over to Him. Psalm 138:8 says, "He will accomplish [fulfill] what concerns me."

4. Be convinced that He does what He promises to do.
Isaiah 46:11 says, ". . . yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass . . ." 1 Kings 8:56 says that not one of His promises has failed.

5. THINK possibility!
In Mark 9:23, Jesus said, "All things are possible to those who believe." Remember, you didn’t make the promise. God did. That was His part. Your part is to simply believe.

6. It’s already DONE. Meditate on the last three words that Jesus spoke before He died: "IT IS FINISHED!" (John 19:30) His death established God’s covenant of promise to you. It’s guaranteed in His blood.

THINK IT AND SAY IT

I declare that my God is faithful to do what He promised in my life. He will fulfill His promises, which include saving, healing, restoring, and blessing me.. Jesus did it all on the Cross. It is FINISHED. He has already provided for my every need. He will accomplish the things that concern me. He is watching over His promises to perform them. He has done it before, and He will do it again, in Jesus’ Name!

Day 151 – “I Just Don’t Feel I Do Enough for God.”

Today we’re fasting from the thought that says, "I just don’t feel I do enough for God."

We’ve all thought that at times.

LET’S CHANGE IT TODAY.

1. Look at what the LORD has done. It honors and blesses God most when we reflect on what He has done for us, not what we’ve done for Him. Psalm 103:1–3 tells us to forget none of HIS benefits.

2. Live FROM God, not FOR God. As you fill your heart with His Word and meditate on His love, His life will flow FROM you. (Galatians 2:20)

3. Meditation produces application. (Joshua 1:8) As you renew your thoughts to God’s Word, you will end up DOING what He wants you to do.

4. Give thanks in everything. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 says, "For this is the will of God, in Christ Jesus." A continual attitude of thankfulness will land you right in the center of God’s will.

5. Shift your focus on "WHO," not "DO." It’s all about your relationship with God. Freely love Him today, because He first loved you. (1 John 4:19) Relationship WITH Him will produce action FOR Him.

6. "WHO" produces "DO." When you know WHO you are in Christ, that produces the power to DO the right things. Know who you are. (2 Corinthians 5:21)

THINK IT AND SAY IT

Today I live from God. I am in Him. I bless and honor God by thinking about what He has done for me. I fill my heart with His Words, and His life flows from me. As I continually thank Him for what HE HAS DONE, I end up in the center of His will, in Jesus’ Name!

Day 150 – “I Feel Like God Is Unhappy With Me.”

Today we’re fasting from the thought that says, "I feel like God is unhappy with me."

This thinking is a root to most unhappiness and insecurity in our lives.

LET’S CHANGE IT TODAY

1. Break the performance mindset. You don’t have to perform for God. He’s happy that He made you. You are the apple of His eye! (Zechariah 2:8)

2. God is all about RELATIONSHIP WITH YOU. That makes Him happy. (Luke 15:22-24). When you are restored back to Him, He celebrates. What an amazing Heavenly Father! He’s happy you are “home” in fellowship with Him.

3. Luke 12:32 says, "…It gives your Father great happiness to give you the Kingdom."(NLT) Accept His free and generous gifts.

4. Just believe. (Hebrews 11:6) It’s our faith that pleases God. Your faith makes Him happy with you!

5. Remain convinced of His love for you! This makes God happy. (John 15:10-12)

6. The most generous are the most happy. (Acts 20:35) God freely gave you Jesus—and it brings Him joy that you received Him.

7. Uncertain = unhappy. God has NO uncertainty about your future. (Jeremiah 29:11) He knows the end from the beginning. He is not moved by what you are facing right now. He will finish what He started in your life. Relax and trust!

THINK IT AND SAY IT

I have made God happy by believing what He did for me and believing what He says. He loves me and is smiling at me. I am the apple of His eye. His future for me is settled in His mind, and He is happy to give me His Kingdom. I receive it freely, in Jesus’ Name!

Day 149 – “This Problem Just Never Seems to Go Away.”

Today we’re fasting from the thought that says, "This problem just never seems to go away."

It may be a financial problem, an emotional problem, or a people problem—but it stubbornly tells you, "I’m here to stay.” That’s over!

LET’S CHANGE IT TODAY

1. The problem is not the problem. The problem is the power that you give the problem. Numbers 13:33 says, "We became like grasshoppers IN OUR OWN SIGHT, so we were in THEIR sight."

2. See yourself as the giant, rather than seeing the problem as the giant. Deuteronomy 28:13 says that you’re the head and not the tail. You are BIGGER than this problem. It is afraid of YOU!

3. Treat your tongue as a sword. Sharpen it with Scriptures, and your tongue will move mountains. (Proverbs 18:21, Mark 11:23) Talk to your problem, rather than about your problem!

4. Fall in love with math. Why? Because math teaches us that there is a solution to every problem. There is a promise from God for every problem. And God’s response to the promise is: YES. (2 Corinthians 1:20)

5. Thee is with me! Jeremiah 32:17 says, "Ah, Lord God, . . . nothing is too difficult for THEE.” Because nothing is too difficult for God, then nothing is too difficult for you! “As He is, so are we in this world.” (1 John 4:17.)

THINK IT AND SAY IT

I am bigger than my problem. Though small, my tongue is more powerful than the biggest mountain. There is a promised solution to every problem I face, and the problem has to move because God is with me and because I say so, in Jesus’ Name!

Day 148 – “How Could a Loving God Allow Suffering or Evil to Happen in My Life?”

Today we’re fasting from the thought that says, "How could a loving God allow suffering or evil to happen in my life or in the world?"

This is a mentality that robs us of the sheer delight of enjoying the most beautiful Being in the universe. Any doubts of His goodness will lead to low and negative expectations.

LET’S CHANGE IT TODAY

1. Believe in the goodness of God. James 1:17 says, "Every GOOD and perfect gift comes from God, . . ." Anything that is not good or perfect is not from God.

2. He is touched by our feelings and infirmities. (Hebrews 4:15) No one is touched as deeply with humanity’s pain and anguish as our Heavenly Father. Our sorrow and suffering makes God’s heart ache. He weeps with us and offers His mercy in grace in time of need. (Hebrews 4:16)

3. Change the way you look at love. LOVE gives free will. If God forced everyone to do right, it would be slavery. Life would become meaningless, and there would be no virtue if it were forced; no honor if it were forced honor; no love if it were forced love. (Deuteronomy 30:19) Suffering was born when man chose to disbelieve and disobey God. (Genesis 2:16–17)

4. Join Paul in believing that no evil can separate us from the love of God. (Romans 8:39) Though we don’t understand everything, our trust is in His love. Knowing God is better than knowing why. (Of course, that doesn’t mean that we just accept whatever happens in life. We have authority to make right choices and to exercise our God-given rights.)

5. Understand God’s patience. If God wiped out everyone who ever caused pain by selfishness, lying, hatred, anger, or cheating, who would be left? We would all be swept away. If we are sane, we don’t want justice; we want mercy! As James 2:14 says, "Mercy triumphs over judgment."

6. Believe that, although God doesn’t cause evil, He can still bring good in the midst of evil or suffering. (Genesis 50:20)

THINK IT AND SAY IT

I believe in the goodness of God. He is ALWAYS good. He feels and bears my pain. His love gives me the power of choice, and I choose to believe Him and honor Him. And no matter what, nothing can separate me from His love. His mercy triumphs over evil, and I believe He will bring good in the midst of any bad situation, in Jesus’ Name!

Day 147 – “I Can’t Seem to Experience God’s Presence.”

Have you ever felt far from God? We all have. But it’s a lie! Today we’re fasting from the thought that says, "I can’t seem to experience God’s presence."

LET’S CHANGE IT TODAY

1. We are NOW in God’s presence by the blood of Jesus. (Hebrews 10:19) We can’t work enough or be holy enough to get in His presence. We are brought into His presence through His blood. YOU ARE IN!

2. His presence NEVER leaves you if you are a born again child of God. I will never leave you nor forsake you! (Hebrews 13:5)

3. Go to your spiritual lawyer when you sin! He will get you a “NOT GUILTY” verdict! 1 John 2:1 says, “If we sin, we have an advocate (lawyer, defense attorney) with the Father—Jesus Christ.”

4. He moves in, but never moves out! God lives IN you! (1 Corinthians 3:16) His salvation and His presence are gifts. And His gifts are irrevocable. He doesn’t take them back! (Romans 11:29)

5. Worship God now because YOU ARE ALREADY IN HIS PRESENCE, not because you are trying to get in. (Hebrews 10:19)

6. Fall out of love with your feelings! You may feel God has left you, but He cannot break His promise. (Hebrews 6:19) We live by what God says, not by what we feel. (2 Corinthians 5:7) Stand in faith and be secure that God is with you!

THINK IT AND SAY IT

By the blood of Jesus, I am in God’s presence, and His presence is in me! He will never leave me. Even if I sin, I can go to Him through Jesus Christ. I am forgiven, cleansed, and accepted by Him. I refuse to live by my feelings; but I live by faith that God is for me, with me, and in me, in Jesus’ Name!
